Greetings, thanks for visiting HoneydewThis.com! I was inspired to create this blog by my experiences after moving in with my girlfriend. Shortly after moving in, I began to understand all the jokes, cliches and stories regarding living and interacting with women. I will be blogging about the common topics regarding the male and female species, interesting articles I find on the web, my experiences living with my girlfriend and also try and understand why we do what we do and why the opposite sex just never gets it.

The name of the site came to me when I finally understood a joke that my father told me when I was child after asking him why my mom never threw out the trash at night. The conversation went like this,

Me: “Dad, why do you take out the trash and mommy doesn’t?”
Dad: “Son, that’s because men are Honeydews.”
Me: “Honeydews like the fruit?”
Dad: “No son, it’s because women always say to us, ‘Honey do this, Honey do that’ and we do it or face the consequences.”
